Gary Paul Brannan

Gary Brannan resident of Rule, Texas passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at the age of 60. Visitation is planned for Friday evening, June 12, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes located at 600 Robins Ave., Rule. A Memorial service will be he held at a later date in Comanche, Texas.

Gary was born in Brownwood, Texas on September 14, 1954 to Roy and Reitha (Thomas) Brannan. Gary graduated from Comanche High School and Cisco Jr College. He was employed with TCJD as a truck driver at the Daniel Unit in Snyder, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rule, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Reitha Brannan; uncles, Albert Brannan and wife Judy, Eugene Roscoe Thomas, and Daniel Thomas; paternal grandparents, Roy and Noema Brannan; maternal grandparents, Theodore and Lola Belle Thomas; and cousin, Bob Brannan.

Gary is survived by his wife, Janet Kay Brannan; three children, Monica (Brannan) Cloud, Jonathan Paul Brannan and wife Amber, and Brittnee Leigh Brannan; brother, Bill Brannan and his wife Carol and daughter Sarah; sister, Cindy Brannan; grandchildren, Grayson and Baylee Cloud, Heidi and Mindi Brannan; aunt, Doris Thomas; and cousin, Joe Brannan and wife Mary.

Memorials can be given in Gary's name to Texas Oncology-Abilene, 1957 Antilley Rd, Abilene, Texas 79606.
