Gary Bruce Miller lifelong resident of Rule passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 in Haskell. He was 56. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2012 in Rule with Don Hisey officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes of Rule.
Gary was born August 30, 1955 in Haskell to Genelle Bruce and Raynelle (Ross) Miller. He graduated from Rule High School with the class of 1973 and on December 14, 1985, married Tonya L. Brumley in Hamilin. Gary spent years hunting, catching wild hogs, drag racing, farming and raising peanuts. He was a rancher. Gary was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rule.
He is preceded in death by his father, Genell Bruce Miller; paternal grandparents, William Bruce and Nanie Lou Miller; maternal grandparents, Alton and Pauline Ross; and a niece, Crystal.
Gary is survived by his wife, Tonya Lynn Miller; 4 daughters, Vanessa Kay Shiplett and husband Jason, Jessica Lynn Miller, Mackenzie Raye Martinez and husband Andy; Kelsie De'Laine Rodriquez and husband Jeffrey; mother, Raynell Ross Nipper and step-father, Joe Nipper; sister, Carol Herron-Blackwell and husband Larry; brother, Ricky Miller and wife Stephanie; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Ann Brumley; 4 granddaughters, Zoe Shiplett, Mia Martinez, Audrey Martinez, Addyson Shiplett; and the arrival of Baby Rodriquez who is due soon; his aunt, Pat Miller-Laughlin and husband Jerry Don; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Kittley, Sammy Simpson, Larry Simpson, Danny Hisey, Tommy Stryker, and Kraig Kupatt.
