Gay Nell Jenkins was born October 10, 1949 in Stamford, Texas to Luther Taylor and Jimmie Geneva (Liles) Jenkins. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rule.
Gay had a tender and giving heart and loved to help anyone that was in need. She was always at her best when she was offering a helping hand and comfort for those alone or less fortunate. Just as she did for Thanksgiving one year as she prepared a "feast" for all that needed friendship and a home cooked meal. Gay's gentle and loving spirit will be deeply missed.

Gay is survived by her son, Wayne Griggs and wife Michelle of Alvarado, Texas; daughter, Deetra Lusk and husband Ronnie of Rule, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Trevor Griggs, Vinnie Perales, Lacey Tabb, Savanna Griggs, Cole Tabb; and 1 great-granddaughter, Jazlyn Perales.
