A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Friday, January 1, 2021 at the funeral home, 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell, TX.

George was born on January 21, 1958 in Abilene, TX to Fred and Dorothy Brown. He was raised farming with his father and continued working in the family farm for many years. He enjoyed a few other adventures; selling cars, life insurance, and pumping in the oilfield. George had been settled in and loving his job at Double Mountain Coach in Aspermont, TX for 3 years.

He was married to lifelong friend Rosemary Kimbrough Hunter for 26 years and they raised 2 children together, Angela and Matthew. In 2009, George married Sylvia Abila Brown and they spent the last 11 years, hunting, fishing, talking, laughing, and loving each other every day.

George was a patriot and passionate man who loved the Lord. He liked to make you smile and laugh, but he was ok with talking about the hard things too. He spent countless hours around the deer lease campfire with his brothers, friends, and son telling hunting and life stories full of wisdom and joy. He was most comfortable at home with his family or in the woods with God's creation. He loved all of his kids and grandkids so deeply that they never had to wonder if Dad or Grandad had their back. George knew the importance and rarity of a real friend and he loved his with his whole heart.

George was preceded in death by his father, Fred, and his mother, Dorothy.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Justin Stewart; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Nicole Brown; his bonus kids, CJ, Samantha, and Sydney Saucedo; the ones who adored him most, grandchildren, Kylei, Roslyn, and Hunter Stewart, Isla Brown, Madie Saucedo, Ryan Martinez, and Ben Judd, Colston and Corlon Myers; his brothers, Rodney Brown, Fred Brown, James Brown, Paul Brown and their families; plus many, many friends that were like family and will love him always.
