Ginger Howard New, 65, of Amarillo, TX passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, in Haskell. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Weinert. Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery in Haskell. A Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, 304 N 2nd St., Haskell, TX.
Ginger was born October 11, 1951, in Haskell to Melba (Kreger) and Bobby Howard, Sr. She married Lawrence E. New on December 30, 1987 in Amarillo. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Haskell. Ginger was the owner of Red Creek Marinades.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melba (Kreger) and Bobby Howard, Sr.; and her husband, Lawrence E. New.
She is survived by her brother, Bobby Howard, Jr. and wife Kim of Haskell; her uncle, Glen Kreger and wife Frances of Wilcox, AZ; her aunt, Jesse Kreger Hill of Haskell; two nieces, Mindy Howard of Temple and Kourtney Howard of Stephenville; her nephew, Rusty Howard of Big Spring; and close friends, Gary and Libby Bain and family.
