Glen Ray Moore

Glen Ray Moore, 69, a longtime resident of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, Throckmorton with Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow services at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Monday, April 22, 2019, at the funeral home, 107 N. Austin, Throckmorton, TX.

Glen was born July 26, 1949 in Seagraves, TX, to Thelma (Pearson) and Joe Moore. He married Sandra Gayle (Roberts) on April 20, 1968 in Brownfield, TX. Glen enjoyed fishing, camping, roping, and mining for gold. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Throckmorton.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Moore of Throckmorton; daughter, Tina Hantz and husband Randy of Throckmorton; son, Jody Moore and wife Dianna of Throckmorton; 3 grandsons, C.J. Hantz and wife Courtney of Gilmer, Levi Taylor of Arlington, and Trevor Moore and wife Hannah of Archer City; 2 granddaughters, Tori Hantz of Throckmorton, and Kendra Montgomery and husband Jason of Throckmorton; great-grandson, Hunter Montgomery of Throckmorton; two brothers, Gordon Moore and wife Sandy of Muleshoe, and Willie Moore of Seagraves; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Thelma Moore; father, Joe Moore; and two brothers, Cosby Moore, and Eddie Moore.
