Glenda Sue Quisenberry Conner, age 82, of Haskell passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Haskell Healthcare Center. She was born February 20, 1939 in Pecan Gap, Texas to the late Z.A. and Virgie Quisenberry. The family moved to Silsbee, Texas in 1945 where Sue attended school throughout her educational years. While living in Temple, Texas Sue met Jerry Conner. They moved to Dallas and were married October 17, 1964 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The couple lived in the Dallas area for 14 years where Sue worked in medical offices and then became a real estate agent and broker. After living near New Orleans, Louisiana for two years, Sue and Jerry moved to Round Rock, Texas where Sue worked in the real estate and mortgage banking professions until retiring in 2000. In her "retirement", Sue worked at various HEB stores until 2016 where she enjoyed visiting with the customers. Moving to Blanco, Texas in 2012,
Sue also enjoyed volunteer service at the Good Samaritan Center until 2018.
Sue is survived by her husband Jerry, two daughters, Julie Wier of Blanco, Texas and Gina Conner of Rule, Texas; three grandchildren, Jillian Wier, Lance Conner, and Lacey Conner Russell, six great grandchildren, Jackson, Yolanda, Conner, Eris, Ryder and Archer, sister-in-law MaryAnn Quisenberry, and many nieces and nephews.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Z.A. and Virgie; her brothers and sisters, Mary Alice and Joe Samford, Margaret and Alvin (Speck) Shaw, Charles and Martha Quisenberry, Sam Quisenberry and Ann Quisenberry, niece Gayla Jones and nephews Larry Quisenberry and Ray Gene Anderson.
Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, November 20, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Rule with Scott Hensley officiating. A family visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00-7:00PM, at Smith Family Funeral Homes 600 Robbins Ave., Rule, TX.
