Glenda Huff

Glenda King Huff was born to Bessie and EC King Sr. on January 28,1938 and went home to be with God and our Jesus Christ on February 14, 2025 at the age of 87. She passed away in Knox City, Tx at the Knox City Hospital under the care Hospice of Wichita Falls after a short illness. A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Knox City, Texas with Rev. Mark Farr officiating. Burial will follow after the service at Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City. A visitation is planned from 1:00 to 2:00pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, 200 S Central Ave., Knox City, Texas.

Glenda was a very gentle loving soul. She donated 29 years to the Pink Ladies/Hospital Auxiliary raising money for the local hospital as well as helping families in need. Glenda also volunteered several years, 2005 to 2023, as hospitality chairman on the First Baptist food community serving others that lost a loved one. Glenda also made trips to Wichita Falls in order to ensure that Knox City food bank had plenty of food to help the needy. She held her family and friends very close to her heart. In her younger years she loved to sew, fish and hunt. Glenda also loved being with her grandchildren, being with them no matter what they were doing.

Glenda married Elvis Day, and they had two children Larry Day and Sandra Day Stone. After Elvis' passing, Glenda was married to Gerald Huff until his death.

Glenda Huff was proceeded in death by her parents, her son Larry Day, sister Ervalene Beason, brother Erwin King, sister Mary Jo Sharp, Gerald Huff and Elvis Day. She is survived by daughter Sandra Stone, grandchildren Heather McCray (Daniel), Chris Stone (Stephanie), Christy Day and several great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Frances King, and nephews, and so many friends.
