Gloria Ann Villa Browning, 54, of Haskell, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Haskell, with Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd Street, Haskell, Texas.
Gloria Ann Villa Browning was born in Haskell on March 1, 1969 to Delia and Domingo Villa Sr. She grew up in Haskell and graduated from Haskell High School in 1987. She married Robert Browning on January 1, 2014 who was her partner in life for almost 10 years at the time of her passing.
Gloria loved being a mom to not only her son but to many others. She loved attending sporting events, being outdoors, and spending time at the family farm with friends and family. Gloria was a devoted GiGi to each and every single one of her grandkids. Caring for her family was a priority that defined who she was. Anybody that knew Gloria or came in contact with her experienced a true servants heart and a friendship that you would never forget.
Gloria lived a life that radiated loyalty and joy. Gloria lived loud and loved God!
Survived by her husband, Robert Browning of Haskell; mother, Delia Villa of Haskell; brother, Domingo Villa and wife Susan of Haskell; brother, Toby Villa of Haskell; sister, Marie Cook and husband Sam of Leander; son, Austin Marshall and wife Brittany and two daughters, Dani Shea and Marni Grace of Lubbock; step daughters, Lindsay Hannsz and husband Justin, their three children, J., Brazos, and Hadley, Emily Short and husband Cameron their three children, Kamryn, Mack and Jones; nephew, Brandon Villa and wife Leah of Abilene; step nephews, Augie Lara of Seymour and Jessie Lara of Abilene; uncle Manuel and wife Pat of Denton; mother-in-law Janice Browning of Haskell, and numerous beloved family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Domingo Villa Sr.,daughter, Mychaela Marshall; brother, Freddie Villa; nephew, Justin Ryan Villa; grandparents, Jose and Julia Martinez; uncle, Mac Rodriguez and aunt Linda; uncle Lupe Martinez and aunt Mary; father-in-law, Jimmy Browning.
