Gregory Lee Heezen, resident of Haskell, Texas, passed away Monday evening, November 17, 2014, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Gregory was 62. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Rule with Rev. Scott Hensley officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Rule Cemetery in Rule under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Gregory was born in Greenbay, Wisconsin to Donna "Cassie" Kathleene (Mahoney) and Clarence "Rocky" Henry Heezen on December 6, 1951. He married Pam (Wilson) on July 22, 1994 in Odessa, Texas. Gregory was stationed all over, but considered Lawton, Oklahoma as his hometown. He lived in Odessa, Texas for 17 years and moved to Haskell in 2011. He loved sports, guns, nascar, and The Texas Longhorns. Gregory was in the U.S. Army for 12 years and later worked for Vinnell Corporation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence "Rocky" and Donna "Cassie" Heezen.
Gregory is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Pam Heezen of Haskell, Texas; one daughter, Warunee (May) Jumpoopor of Bangkok, Thailand; sister, Holly Heezen Anderson and husband Bob of Mint Hill, North Carolina; two brothers, Scott Heezen of West Palm Beach, Florida and David Heezen and his wife Donna of Clearwater, Florida; nephew and niece, Derrick and Jeana Heezen of Clearwater, Florida.
