Guadalupe C. Navarro

Guadalupe C. Navarro, 81, a longtime resident of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 11:00a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Methodist Church, Throckmorton with Deacon Ruben Castaneda officiating. Burial will follow services at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton. A rosary is planned for 7:00p.m., Friday, May 3, 2019, at the funeral home, 107 N. Austin, Throckmorton, TX.

Guadalupe was born December 22, 1937 in Valley Junction, TX, to Bernadina (Campa) and Isabel Navarro. He married Josephine (Rudolfo) in Throckmorton, TX in 1960. Guadalupe worked on the R.A. Brown Ranch for 52 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing his guitar. He was a hard worker and would sacrifice anything for his family.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Navarro of Throckmorton; daughter, Linda Navarro of Throckmorton; two sisters, Janie Garcia of Graham, and Connie Escalon of Breckenridge; five brothers, Joe Navarro, Felix Navarro, and Phillip Navarro all of Throckmorton, Tony Navarro of Indiana, and Lee Navarro of New Castle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Bernadina Navarro; father, Isabel Navarro; and son, Freddy Navarro.
