Harry Gerhard Koehler, 95, of Haskell, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on, Friday, May 21, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Haskell with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow service at Old Glory Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Monday, May 24, 2021 at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd St., Haskell.
Harry was born March 30, 1926 in Yoakum, TX to Gerhard and Magdalena (Stamer) Koehler. He graduated from Yoakum High school in '44. He married Eunice (Meier) Bryan in '61 and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage. He was a long time active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and Herman Sons. After 33 years he retired from the Soil Conservation Service. Harry enjoyed dancing with Eunice at Herman Sons Hall, playing dominoes, and working on cars. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Crim and husband Archie of Anson, and their 3 children, Courtney Underwood and husband Justin, Mikah Crim, and Tucker Crim all of Abilene; 1 great-granddaughter, Olivia Vibbert of Abilene; 2 step sons, Rickie Bryan and wife Jana of Porter, Rodger Bryan of New Caney; 1 step daughter, Rhonda Culwell of New Caney; 2 nieces, Mary Ann Flessner of Cuero, Alene Haynie of Victoria; 9 step grandchildren, numerous step great grandchildren nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Gerda Frels of Cuero; wife Eunice; and 1 step son, Randle Bryan of Lewisville.
