Hartal Falls Coalson, life-long resident of Throckmorton, Texas, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015, at Hendrick Health System in Abilene, Texas. Hartal was 86. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Throckmorton with Rev. Jay Gage and Mr. Donnell Brown officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Throckmorton, located at 107 North Austin.

Hartal was born February 19, 1928, in Throckmorton, Texas to Talmadge Falls and Pearl (Stalcup) Falls. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Throckmorton. Hartal enjoyed dancing, traveling, visiting, rodeos, feeding the deer and life in the country.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Talmadge and Pearl Falls; companion, Windy Murray, and husband, Max Coalson.

Hartal is survived by her two daughters, Maxie Kay Jackson and husband Robert of Throckmorton, Texas and Margaret Ann Matthiews and husband J.C. of Woodson, Texas; grandchildren, Renee Gober and husband James of Haskell, Texas, Jeff Matthiews and wife LeAnn of Woodson, Texas, and Jennifer Matthiews of Stephenville, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Colton, Matthew, and Izzy Gober of Haskell, Texas.

Memorials can be given in Hartal's name to Throckmorton Senior Citizens Center, Throckmorton or Woodson VFD, or your favorite charity.
