Hortencia Estrada Miranda

Hortencia Estrada Miranda, 74, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, March 3, 2023, at St. George Catholic Church in Haskell, TX with Father Alexander Amburose officiating. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00PM, with rosary beginning at 7:00PM, Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Smith Family Funeral Homes, 304 N 2nd Street, Haskell, TX.

Hortencia was born June 17, 1948 in Austin, TX to Pascuala (Castillo) and Manuel Estrada. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, playing Mexican Bingo, going to the Casino and Game Room and fishing. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church.

She is survived by her three daughters, Joyce Dillard and husband Leo of Stamford, TX., Norma Tucker and husband James of Blackwell, OK., Kathy Pham and husband Nam of Wichita, KS., three sons, Tommy Valencia of Milwaukee Wis., Gilbert Valencia of Weinert, TX., Raymond Valencia of Oklahoma City, OK.;13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Julian Estrada and wife Andrea of Weinert, TX., Rudy Estrada and wife Lupe of California, Mike Estrada and wife Janie of Gainesville; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Pascuala and Manuel Estrada; three sisters, Lupe Rodriguez, Candelorius Garza, Cecilia Lopez; three brothers, Manuel Estrada Jr., Raymond Estrada and Robert Estrada.
