Howard Wesley Liles, Jr.

Howard Wesley Liles, Jr., longtime resident of Haskell, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Haskell Memorial Hospital in Haskell. Howard was 78. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Willow Cemetery in Haskell with Rev. Tony Grand officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Howard was born June 29, 1937 to Howard Wesley Liles, Sr. and Connie Belle (Free), in Weinert, Texas. He married Ruby Estalynn (Edwards) on June 6, 1957 in Tye, Texas. Howard had a Master's Degree of Education. He was a teacher as well as a farmer and rancher. Howard served in the Army Reserve. He was an avid "history buff."
He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Wesley Liles, Sr. and his brother, Wayne Liles.
Howard is survived by his wife, Ruby Estalynn Liles of Haskell, Texas; son, Blake E Liles of Abilene, Texas; mother, Connie Belle Liles of Haskell, Texas; sister-in-law, Laquita Liles of Haskell, Texas; and his aunt and uncle Pat and Aleatha Mayfield both of Fort Stockton, Texas.
