Imogene "Nina" Freshour, 98, of Haskell, Texas passed away Thursday morning, September 5, 2013 at Haskell Memorial Hospital in Haskell. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2013 at Willow Cemetery in Haskell with Rev. Dave Harrison officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
One of eight children, Imogene Rousseau was born in Cooke County, Texas on November 16, 1914 to Louise Q. (Pfaff) and Travis James Rousseau. In the 1920's, the Rousseau family moved to Haskell where many remain to this date. During WWII, Nina aided the war effort by assembling bombers in Ft. Worth. She was a retired supervisor with General Telephone out of Seymour and a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Louise Rousseau; 4 brothers, Paul Rousseau, William Rousseau, Boyd Rousseau, Jack Rousseau; and 1 sister, Ruby Faye Pritchard.
Nina is survived by her son, James Don Freshour of Big Spring, Texas; 3 grandsons, David, Jerry, and Daniel Freshour; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Evelyn Henderson of Haskell, and Mary Frances Henderson of Kaufman; 3 nieces, Martha Jarred, Janie Stone, Diane Pritchard; and 4 nephews, Billy Rousseau, Travis Rousseau, Frank Henderson, Jr., and Tony Pritchard.
