Jack Coker

August 12, 1941 — April 13, 2013

Jackie "Jack" Wayne Coker, longtime resident of Rule, Texas, passed away Saturday evening, April 13, 2013 at his home in Rule. Mr. Coker was 71. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Rule with Rev. Scott Hensley and Chester Jones officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the services at Willow Cemetery in Haskell under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Rule.

Jack was born August 12, 1941 in Sydney, Texas to Robert Herman and Rose (Solomon) Coker. He married Charlotte Perkins in Marynell, Texas on February 21, 1959 and Jack and Charlotte made Rule their home. Jack is a retired oilfield supervisor and a member of the First Baptist Church of Rule.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rose Coker; 1 son, Jackie Wayne Coker, Jr.; 1 grandson, Austin Coker; brother, Lynn Coker and his wife, Oneta; and several aunts and uncles.

Jack will be missed by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte of Rule; 3 daughters, Pam Conner and husband Keith of Midland, Texas, Linda Myers and husband Jerry Don of Rule, Texas, and Debra Adkins and husband Howell of Rochester, Texas; 2 sons, Jerry Coker and wife Vickie of Haskell, Texas, and Justin Coker and wife Brittany of Knox City, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Janice Marquis and husband James of Rule; numerous Honorary grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Pallbearers for Mr. Coker are Bobby Brannon, Casey Conner, Wade Pierce, Zack Coker, Tatum Foster, Evan Andrews, Creed Coker, Andy Andrews and Quinton Adkins.
