Jackie Reed, 82, a longtime resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11:00a.m., Friday, March 22, 2019 at Willow Cemetery with Rev. Terry Bunch officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the funeral home, 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell, TX.

Jackie was born September 7, 1936 in Gorman, TX to Clara Mae (Dixon) and Clarence Andrew Reed. He married Shirley (Atchison) on April 5, 1963 in Haskell, TX. He served in the US Army for 2 years. Jackie loved spending time with his grandkids, and gardening. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge earning his 50 year Master Mason, and 25 year Esoteric Certificate.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Reed of Haskell; daughter, Mitzi Reed of Hakell, son, Alan Reed and wife Tricia of Poolville; grandson, Reed Lee of San Angelo; granddaughter, Alana Reed of Poolville; three brothers, Edward Reed of Stephenvlle, Troy (Rocky) Reed of Dublin, and Charlie Reed and wife Faye of Stephenville; and two sisters, Larue Prator of Blanket, and Annette Landes and husband Coy of Crowely.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Clarence Reed; and brother, Shroy Reed.

Memorials can be given in Jackie's name to the Knox City Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund: P.O. Box 601, Knox City, TX 79529.
