Patsy Jane Gideon, 79, of Benjamin, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2012 at the Benjamin Community Center in Benjamin with Dr. Troy Culpepper officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Benjamin Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes of Knox City. Visitation is planned for Wednesday evening, December 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Patsy Jane Nunley, a triplet to two brothers, Jack and Joe, was born July 25, 1933 in Knox City to Marion Grover and Millie Thelma (Conner) Nunley. Jane worked for many years in food service with the Benjamin School District and the Knox County Aging Center. She was a member of the Benjamin First Baptist Church.

Jane adored her grandchildren and spending as much time with them as she could. She was known for her cooking and loved cooking for "anyone that would stop by the house".

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Millie Nunley; her two brothers, Jack and Joe; and a sister, Darlene Benson.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Lana Hale and husband Ronnie of Benjamin, Sue Terry and husband Dave of Southlake; 1 son, Oscar Gideon and wife Shannon of Gilbert, AZ; 1 step-son Mike Gideon of Bryan; 2 sisters, Joy Yancey of Wichita Falls, Imagean Young of Benjamin; 10 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 3 great-grandchildren; and Oscar Weldon Gideon.
