Jane Powers

Jane Powers, 76, a longtime resident of the Paint Creek Community and Haskell, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Church of Christ, Haskell with Mr. Phil Sims and Frank Daniels officiating. Burial will follow service at Howard Cemetery, Paint Creek under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Monday, November 30, 2020 at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd St., Haskell.

Jane was born December 24, 1943 in Stamford, Texas to Ethel (Cox) and Jodie Earles. She married David Powers on November 26, 1996 in Haskell, Texas. Before moving to Haskell, Jane was born and raised in Paint Creek. She loved to sew and quilt. She also enjoyed yard work and do it yourself projects.

She is survived by her husband, David Powers of Haskell; 2 daughters, Julie Graham and husband Bryan of Milano, TX, Rhonda Hanson and husband Lance of Haskell; 2 step-daughters, Carol Lively of Waxahachie, Stephanie Powers of Bristol, VA; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Bob Earles and wife Patsy of Abilene; sister, Marjorie Daniels and husband Frank of Cave Springs, AR; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Jodie Earles.
