F. Janette "Jan" Kilgore, 78, passed away on February 25, 2016 at Munday Nursing Home in Munday, Texas. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 29, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Knox City, Texas under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Jan was born September 14, 1937 in Knox City, Texas to George Hodges and Mozelle (Apple) Hodges. Jan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Knox City, Texas. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, especially sewing, quilting and cross stitching and was a member of the local Quilt Guild and worked at Wichita Brazos Museum.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George Hodges and Mozelle (Apple) Hodges; partner, Bill Tweedy; and infant son.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Tammy Kilgore; son, Lance Kilgore and wife Jill; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Austin, Michelle, Chelsey and Carrion; two great-grandchildren; Brandon and Oliver; brother, Glenn Hodges and wife Nancy; two sisters, Betty Johnston and husband Nick and Sue Marion and husband Roland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
