Janie Jeffcoat

January 4, 1945 — October 7, 2021

Haskell

Nola "Janie" Jeffcoat, 76, entered into the gates of heaven on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Loving wife, mom, grandma, and more, her pale blue eyes, sweet spirit, and deep dimples will forever be missed.

Born in Littlefield, TX, on Jan 4 th , 1945, to Clifford and Gladys Barnhill, Janie was the youngest of three daughters. She often recounted the many sweet memories of her childhood and growing with up her sisters, Wilma Butler and Ann "Pug" Beisel. She proudly spoke of the love she had for her mother, and was a self-proclaimed "daddy's girl." What a joyful reunion heaven saw the moment they all reunited.

On May 22, 1960, Janie married her forever love, James Jeffcoat, in a small church wedding in Morton, TX. She often spoke of their journey being full of twists and turns, and always being full of love, friendships, and wonderful people that she forever cherished.

Janie is survived by her husband, James Jeffcoat, of Haskell, TX; her older son, Jim Jeffcoat, and wife Coleen, of Colorado Springs, CO; her younger son, David Jeffcoat, and wife Zarla, of The Colony, TX; five granddaughters and their spouses, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Paint Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with the graveside service following at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, TX, at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.
