Rev. Jerry L. Bell, age 81 of Greenville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at UPMC Jameson New Castle Pennsylvania surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born in Olney, Texas to Jett and Johnnie (Tucker) Bell on August 9, 1942 and grew up in Throckmorton, Texas. He graduated from Throckmorton High School and later attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas and received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Christian Life School of Theology.
Jerry served as senior pastor for over 20 years in 5 states. He also served as Associate Pastor of Senior Adult Ministries at Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo, TX, followed by 12 years as a chaplain at Park Central Retirement Community in Amarillo. In addition to his years in full-time ministry, Jerry worked at City of Faith in Tulsa, OK, St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, TX and for State Farm Insurance in various locations for 17 years.
Surviving are his beloved wife Rose Bell, and his children; Pastor Kent and Denise Bell of Greenville, PA; Kevin and Denise Bell of Big Spring, TX; Kyle Bell of Big Spring, TX; Kris and Heather Bell of Hamilton, OH; Christine and Jimmy Puroll of Bellaire, MI; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is a son-by-heart, Nikunj Jhaveri and family of Mumbai, India; two-granddaughters-by-heart, Slava and her husband Blake Davis and Natalia of Ukraine; a grandson-by-heart, Nicolas of Ecuador; a special friend Jim Pond of Amarillo, TX, and the mother of his sons, Ella Young of Big Spring, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers J.T., Clyde, Bobby and Joe, and a sister Helen. Also a special daughter-in-law, Dawn Bell.

A graveside service will be held in Throckmorton Cemetery on Saturday September 7, 2024 at 11:00AM.
