Jessie Pearl Hill

Jessie Pearl Hill, 89, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Corner Stone Fellowship Baptist Church in Haskell, Texas. Rev. Josh Fitchett will be officiating under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. Burial will follow the service at the Willow Cemetery in Haskell, Texas.

Jessie Pearl Kreger was born April 23, 1935. Second child of Susie and Jess Krueger. She was raised on a farm north of town. She graduated from Haskell High School. She married Danny Hill November 23, 1953. They lived in Ballard, New Mexico where their daughter Paula Jane was born October 7, 1958. Her daughter died at 23 from brain cancer in her senior year at Grand Canyon University.

She sold Mary Kay Cosmetics for several years. Worked as secretary of a church, at the Tax Accessors office, and in the office for Home Health until she retired.

She loved to do ceramics and made them for all her family and friends.

After Danny passed she moved back to Haskell to be closer to family.

She, her sisters, and friends loved to eat out. She loved to have her hair done and had to get it done every week.

She lived at home until early last year when she went to the care home.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Kreger; nephew, Bobby Howard and family; niece, Terresa ( Jeff) Goodwin, nephews, Randy (Lynda) Kreger and family; Sam (Cyndy) Kreger and family; brothers-in-law, Robert (Loretta) Hill and family, Joe (Shirley) Hill and family, and Wilburn Hill and family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Danny; daughter, Paula; her parents, Susie and Jess Kreger; her sister, Melba Howard; her brother, Glen Kreger; niece, Ginger New; and niece-in-law Kim Howard.

She was a loving and caring person.
