Jimmie Lou Free Adkins, 85, of Haskell, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., First Baptist Church, Haskell, Texas on Saturday, September 22, 2012 under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Jimmie was born April 28, 1927 in Haskell to Jim and Eula Mae Free. On September 5, 1948 she married Royce Adkins in Haskell, Texas. Jimmie was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Royce, and three sisters, Allene Wheatley, Mary Jo Roberts, and Ruth Davis.
Jimmie is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie and her husband, John Fouts of Haskell and Jill and her husband, Dr. Jim Hansard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Lyle Fouts and his wife, Kelly of San Antonio, Texas, Dan Fouts and his wife Kristin of Lubbock, Texas, Tom Fouts of Lubbock, Texas, Hailey Hansard of Los Angeles, California, and Ryan Hansard of Austin, Texas; two great grandchildren, Gage and Lexy Fouts of San Antonio; and two sisters, Connie Bell Liles of Haskell and Nancy Henshaw of Fort Worth, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hendrick Hospice, First Baptist Church Haskell, or to a charity of your choice.
