Jimmy Dale Harris, 50, of Haskell, Texas passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services wil be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Eastside Baptist Church in Haskell. Arrangements were made under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
The son of Jerry and Jerry Ann Harris, he was born on October 20, 1961 in Knox City, Texas. He graduated from Haskell High School in 1980. Jims' passion in life was watching his daughter, Kenisha, play high school and college basketball. He was an avid golfer and worked 33 years in the oilfield.
Survivors include his wife Evette, of Abilene; 1 daughter, Kenisha of Brock; 1 son, Aquarius of Abilene; 2 grandchildren, Mekhi and Aquarius Jr., both of Ft. Worth; parents Jerry and Jerry Ann Harris of Haskell; brother Todd Harris of Stamford; sister Dala Sanders of Stamford; as well as many nephews, aunts, and uncles.
