Joe Lebb Jenkins, 50, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Hendrick Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 1, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Rochester, Texas with Rev. Jim McCurley officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation will be Sunday evening, January 31, 2016, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home in Rochester located at 200 S Lincoln Ave.
Joe was born January 10, 1966, in Haskell, Texas to Morris Jenkins and Mary Helen (Dodd) Jenkins. He lived in Rochester all of his life and graduated from Rochester High School. He was a pumper at Patton Oilfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Morris Jenkins and Mary Helen (Dodd) Jenkins; brother, Richard Jenkins; brother-in-law, Brian Kinney.
Joe is survived by his three sisters, Tammie Howard and husband Derryl of Jermyn, Texas, Teresa Kinney of Garland, Texas, and Terri Klose and husband Eddie of Haskell, Texas; five nephews, Justin Howard and wife Kalyn of Jermyn, Texas and Kyle Howard and wife Brittany of Jermyn, Texas, Beau Klose and wife Andrea of Austin, Texas, David Kinney and wife Lauren of Garland, Texas and Mark Kinney of Garland, Texas; two nieces, Jasmine Klose of Lubbock, Texas and Jacie Klose of Haskell, Texas; three great - nieces; Mollie Howard, Kodi Howard and Sadie Howard all of Jermyn, Texas; one great - nephew, Levi Howard of Jermyn, Texas; Aunt Floy Mae Jenkins of Amarillo, Texas; and host of cousins.
