Joe "Danny" Rios

Joe "Danny" Rios, 61, resident of Knox City, TX passed away Monday, May 2, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, Knox City, with Rev. Sheldon Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow service at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6-7:00 PM, Monday, May 9, 2022, at the funeral home 210 Ave. A , Knox City.

Danny was born November 21, 1960, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Josephine (Puebla) and Ralph Rios. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and he loved his dogs. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports.

He is survived by his daughters, Casey Lampe of Abilene and Cassidy Martin and spouse Aubrey of Haskell; sisters, Stella Gonzales and spouse Jesse of Knox City, Angie Pauda and spouse Abraham of Lubbock, twin Sister, Toni Benavides of Knox City; three brothers, Luis Rios of Ft. Worth, Jesse Rios and spouse Dora of Abilene, Sammy Rios and spouse Lou of Knox City; six grandchildren, Desiree, Brayden, Zade, Alexander, Zachariah and Kynzlee; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Ralph Rios; two brothers, Ralph Rios, Jr. and Rudy Rios; and nephew Rudy Rios, Jr.
