John Wesley Robinson

John Wesley "Pops" Robinson, Jr, 71, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Knox City, Tx. cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City.

John was born September 15, 1949, in Knox City, TX, to Nicole ( Olitha ) Bradley, and John Robinson Sr. John was raised by his grandmother Mary Flye. When John was five years old they moved to Pasadena, California. John graduated from John Muir High School. John was loved by everyone and played a big part in a lot of peoples lives especially his grandchildren. He loved to hang out with his friends over a good game of dominos and gin rummy. John would play all day long and just enjoy good company and a good laugh. You could go to him for anything, he may fuss but he had your back no matter what, especially if you were, "Mines" as he would say.

He is survived by his four sons, Marvin Robinson, John Robinson III, Darnell Robinson, and Shaun Robinson; four daughters, Shinetta Robinson, Nicole Robinson, Monique Robinson, and Alana Skinner; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Robinson and mother Nicole Bradley.
