Jolene Mitchell, longtime resident of Throckmorton,Texas passed away in Abilene at the age of 80. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, Texas. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation will be Tuesday, evening July 28, 2015 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. located at 107 N. Austin, Throckmorton.
Jolene was born November 24, 1934, in Throckmorton, Texas, to Joe Hood Ingram and Ella May (Harrison) Ingram. Jolene married Richard Franklin Mitchell on July 3, 1951 in Haskell,Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton. She enjoyed baking, mowing and her cattle.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Hood Ingram and Ella May (Harrison) Ingram; and her husband, Richard Franklin Mitchell.
Jolene is survived by her son, Kenneth Joe Mitchell and wife Fern of Throckmorton,Texas, two daughters, Brenda Stamm of Throckmorton,Texas, and Annette Harris and husband Rusty of Albany, Texas; five grandchildren, Klay Mitchell, Kris Mitchell, Travis Stamm, Denise Hudson, and Rob Harris; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
