After many years of marriage, Janie Louise (Morris) Williams 78, and Joseph Williams Jr., 77, both of Knox City, TX, passed away just over an hour apart on Christmas morning, Sunday, December 25, 2022, at the Haskell Health Care Center. A service for the couple will be held at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Road, in Abilene, TX., at 1:00PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, with Military Honors.

Janie Louise (Morris) Williams was born on January 12, 1944, in Cisco, TX, to Janie Rena (Horn) and Ernest Johnson Morris. She was a college graduate and was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. She loved watching birds, and working on crossword puzzles. She was a loving mother, wife, and was the favorite aunt.

Joseph James Williams Jr., a proud U.S. Army Veteran, was born March 20, 1945, in Meridian, Mississippi to Myrtle Mae (Green) and Joseph James Williams Sr. He loved fishing, gardening, and always had some kind of project going. For a number of years he was a Preacher. Joseph was also a loving and caring father and husband. He was a college graduate and was a Respiratory Therapist.

Grateful for having shared in Janie and Joseph's lives are their three sons, Stephen Williams of Abilene, Michael Williams of Abilene and Randall Williams of Knox City; one grandson, Matthew Williams; and numerous other family members.

Janie and Joseph were preceded in death by their parents.
