Josephine "Josie" Lewis

Josephine "Josie" Lewis, 76, a lifelong resident of Knox Co., Texas, passed away, Saturday, December 12, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on December 18, 2020 at the Foursquare Church, Knox City with Rev. Gary Schnable officiating. Burial will follow service at Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the funeral home, 210 Ave A., Knox City.

Josie was born December 21, 1943 in Knox Co., Texas to Ida (Rogers) and John Reynolds. She married Sterling Lewis in February of '74. She loved working as a nurse, gardening, and her cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Nonie Maston and husband Greg of Seymour; son, Clint Lewis and wife Lacey Pierce of Knox City; step daughter, Patricia Deering of Seymour; 4 step sons, Danny Lewis and wife Amber of Knox City, Troy Lewis and wife Sheri' of Lubbock, Todd Lewis and wife Missy of Haskell; Shane Lewis of Seymour; grandchildren, Gary Lee Manley, Sarah Jo Johnson, Daren Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Carson Lewis, Cason Lewis, Calen Lewis; great grandchildren, Hunter, Arian, Halton, Abrie, Tristan, Micaela; a whole slew of others, and brother, Billy Joe Reynolds of Vernon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ida Reynolds; husband, Sterling Lewis; son, Danny Jack Johnson; 3 brothers, Claud Reynolds, J.B. Reynolds, Thomas "Shorty" Reynolds; and 2 sisters, Mary Francis Brieden, and Belle Rogers.
