Joyce (McKinney) Rogers, 84, a long time resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Howard Cemetery, Paint Creek with Mr. Tommy Williams officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd St., Haskell, TX.
Joyce was born January 13, 1933 in Ardmore, OK, to Bertha and Slim McKinney. She married Billy Rogers on December 15, 1964 in Stamford, TX. She enjoyed playing cards with her ladies group, coloring in adult coloring books, and watching the ID channel.
She is survived by her daughter, Regenia Williams and husband Tommy of Baird; six grandchildren, Lee Rogers, Jody Rogers, Jessica Yoes, Rylee Hawthorne, Bella Hawthorne, Dayna Williams; five great-grandchildren; two nieces, Denise Wright, and Darlia Wright; and her nephew, Derral Rogers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Slim McKinney; husband, Billy Rogers; daughter, Sylvia Rogers; son, Floyd Rogers; two brothers, Bobby McKinney, and Kenneth McKinney; and her sister, Nadine Rogers.
