Juana Nava

Juana Nava, 70, a longtime resident of Haskell, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 12 , 2021. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Willow Cemetery, Haskell. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 9:00-10:00 AM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at the funeral home, 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell.

Juana was born May 11, 1950 in Mexico City, Mexico to Maura (Almaraz) and Ramon Torres. She married Ramon Nava Ramirez on November 5, 1967 in Mexico City. She was a member of the Alpha Omega Church in Rule, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha Nava Unruh and husband Matt of Haskell; two sons, Edgar Nava of McKinney, Eduardo Nava and wife Norma of Stamford; mother, Maura Torres of Cuaulta, Mexico; 6 grandchildren, Ed Lee Nava, Samantha Nava, Justin Nava, Morgan Nava Munoz, Meagan Unruh, Ysabella Fernandez; 3 great grandchildren, Ayden Nava, Emmi Nava, Collyn Nava; 4 brothers, Mario Torres of Houston, Arturo Torres, Mauro Torres, and Ramon Torres all of Mexico City; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ramon Torres; husband, Ramon Nava Ramirez; daughter, Christina Nava; and brother, José Luis Hernandez.
