Kathryn Ann Schonerstedt

Kathryn Ann Schonerstedt, 78, a longtime resident of Haskell, TX, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Haskell with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow service at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Haskell under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Thursday, January 14, 2021, at the funeral home, 304 N. 2nd St., Haskell.

Kathryn was born March 19, 1942 in Weinert, TX to Henrietta (Vanderworth) and Gustave Rueffer. She was active on several boards in the church and community. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and loved working in the garden.

She is survived by her two sons, Rusty Schonerstedt, Randy Schonerstedt and wife Lisa; daughter, Kimberly Pierce; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Janis Briggs; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Henrietta Rueffer; and father, Gustave Rueffer.

Memorials may be made in Kathryn's name to West Texas Rehab or Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association.
