Keith Holmes

Marvin Keith Holmes, 58, of Haskell, passed from this life, Monday, August 23, 2021 in Abilene, TX.

Keith graduated from Rochester High School in 1981. After Keith graduated he continued his education at a trade school in Ft. Worth for welding. Keith moved back home to Rochester and worked for the county until he and his brother ventured to DFW where he worked in construction. He worked throughout the state of Texas in construction until his retirement.

Keith enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and will forever be known for his orneriness and love of a good laugh. He was a great brother, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Born in Tarrant County, he was the son of the late Marvin Holmes Jr. and Barbara Myers Holmes of Rochester.

Keith is preceded in death by his father Marvin Holmes Jr., sister, Marva Holmes Caldwell, and mother, Barbara Holmes Furrh. He is survived by his brother Brian Holmes of Haskell, niece Brittany Allen and great niece Landry Allen of Midland.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Rochester Cemetery Saturday, Aug 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Schnable officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
