Sammy Wade "Keith" Pierce, 62, of Benjamin, Texas passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Wichita Falls. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 26, 2022 at the Benjamin Ex-Students Memorial Building, located at 202 S Stewart St. in Benjamin, Texas, with Rev. Riley Carver officiating and Coach Benny Grill. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes in Knox City.
Keith was born on April 23, 1960 in Knox City, Texas. He was the son of Sammy Carl Pierce and Nancy Barbara (Waldron) Pierce. He was raised in Benjamin where the values of integrity, perseverance, compassion, and generosity were instilled in him at a young age. Keith carried these values throughout his life regardless of the circumstances. The way he carried himself always drew you in and made you feel a part of something larger. He was always looking beyond the challenges ahead, while reassuring those involved, as he navigated closer and closer to the goals he had in mind.
Keith spent his years chasing his dreams and catching most of them. He would have been wearing a tank top in the middle of winter, but he would have had his cowboy hat on his head, a hot-shot in one hand and a chrome part for his truck in the other! He loved the cow hauling business and he loved his family without measure. He will be forever loved and missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (Waldron) Pierce and his grandparents.
Keith is survived by his father Sammy Pierce of Benjamin, TX; brother, Jeff and wife Susie Pierce of Snyder, TX; son Wade and wife Tabitha Pierce of Anna, TX; son Matt Pierce of Springtown, TX; Betty Pierce of Haskell, TX; step son Eric Jones and daughters Emery and Elise of Breckenridge, TX; step son Justin and wife Ashleigh Jones and sons Walker and Jakob of New Braunfels, TX; nephew Ryan and wife Kendra Mitchell and family of Snyder, TX; niece Brittany and husband Tyler Baze and family of Snyder, TX; niece Bailey Pierce of Snyder, TX; Karen Green and her grandson Corbin Robinson of Guthrie, TX; and many other extended family members and a host of dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorials to be made to the Benjamin Ex-Students Association, P.O. Box 84, Benjamin, TX 79505.
