K. D. Walker, longtime resident of Rochester,Texas, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Homeplace Manor Healthcare Center in Hamlin,Texas at the age of 86. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2015 at Rochester Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes in Haskell.
Kenneth was born November 17,1928 to Bunyon O'Conner and Grace (Perdue) Walker at the family farm near Rochester, Texas. He served in United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and race horses.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bunyon O'Conner and Grace (Perdue) Walker; seven brothers, Beal, Baylor, Tience, Jack, Weldon, Bob, and Bud; three sisters, Blanche, Bonnie and Bobbie Sue.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Kenneth Walker and wife Sue of Hamlin,Texas; daughter, Terrylynn Tidwell and husband Byron of Springtown, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kim Walker, Cody Joplin, Robert Chad Joplin, Derek Tidwell, Clay Tidwell, Hannah Tidwell, and Megan Tidwell; two great-grandchildren, Colin Tidwell and Aaron Tidwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
