Kenny Spitzer

Kenny Spitzer, 78, a longtime resident of Old Glory, Texas, joined his Lord and Savior Wednesday,  June 12, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Bethel Assembly, in Anson, Texas with Rev. Cody Cochran officiating under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Haskell.

Kenny was born September 18, 1945 in Stamford, Texas to Odine (Wienke) and Garrett Spitzer. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sagerton, Texas. He went to school in Old Glory and graduated High School in 1963. He then went to college at W.T.S.U. in Canyon, Texas and graduated in 1968. He was a member of Bethel Assembly Church in Anson, Texas where he was baptized again on October 2011, at the Brazos River in Lueders, Texas. He loved the Lord and sharing his faith with others, roping, ranching, and managing others.

He is survived by his wife, Sadie Spitzer of Abilene, Texas; 3 sons, Chad Spitzer and wife Konni of Whitney, Texas, Ty Spitzer and wife Susie of Old Glory, Texas, Todd Spitzer and wife Stacie of Old Glory, Texas; sister, Kathleen Seals and husband Jimmy of Clyde, Texas; brother, Weldon Spitzer and wife Belynda of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Odine Spitzer; and step mother, Martha Spitzer.
