Kerry Joe Everett

Kerry Joe Everett, 62, a longtime resident of Throckmorton, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, Texas with Rev. Kenneth Reiter officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton. A visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home, 107 N Austin, Throckmorton, Texas.

Kerry was born September 27, 1962 in Throckmorton, Texas to Viann (Donnell) and Joe Mack Everett. Kerry married Patricia in 1984 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He enjoyed farming, four wheeling  in the mountains, and fishing. He was a member of the Throckmorton VFD. He was also active in the Emmaus Community. He loved his Lord and being around family especially his best friend his dad, his sons, and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Everett of Throckmorton, Texas; father, Joe Mack Everett of Throckmorton, Texas; mom, Viann Williams of Lindale, Texas; three sons, Jacob Everett and wife Lisa, Odis Everett and wife Jolene, Buck Everett and wife Lauren; daughter, Leah Fite all of Throckmorton, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Addison, Brylan, Cannon, Cason, Cadence, Austin, Molly, Atley, Keeley, Kade, Kannon, Kori, and Ace; four sisters, Laura Johnston of Throckmorton, Texas, Hannah Everett of Decatur, Texas, Kayla Bass of Lindale, Texas, and Kindala Hutchens of Lindale, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his stepmom, Lynn Everett; stepfather, Bubba Williams, and sister, Jolie Wright.
