Kerry Lee Pyland

Kerry Lee Pyland, 73, a long time resident of Knox City, TX , passed away November 29, 2018. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00a.m.,December 10, 2018 at the Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Abilene with Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City.

Kerry was born December 28, 1944 in Kalgoorlie, Australia to Morven "Trixie" (Hilzinger) and Chauncey "C.B." Ray. She married Walter R. Pyland in Knox City, TX in 2011. She enjoyed crocheting and making blankets. Kerry was very creative and good with her hands; she was also a great cook.

She is survived by her husband, Walter R. Pyland of Knox City; three sons, Ron Jacobs of Jourdanton, TX, Dell Doyle of Houston, and Brandon Peak of Leonard, TX; three grandchildren; brother, John Ray of San Antonio; sister, Debbie Holmes of Abilene; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Morven "Trixie" Ray; and father, Chauncey "C.B." Ray.
