Larry George Brueggeman, 56, of Weinert, TX, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, Weinert, TX with Bro. Dan Bullock and Rev. Rick Moeller officiating. Burial will follow at the Weinert Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Friday, August 20, 2021, at the funeral home, 304 N 2nd Street, Haskell, TX.

Larry was born June 11, 1965 in Breckenridge, TX to Dora (Moeller) and George Brueggeman. He lived in Weinert since 1967 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Larry graduated from Weinert High School in 1984 where he was voted class favorite, football hero, and the friendliest. He worked for Haskell County for 27 years in Precinct 2. He was a member of Haskell County Square Dancers. In 2016, Larry was voted the Weinert Citizen of the Year. Larry loved to cook and can fruits and vegetables, and then give it away. He was President of the Moeller family reunion, and Vice President of Ex Student Association. He never met anyone he didn't like and there was no one that met him that didn't like him.

He is survived by his sister, Johnnie McCrory and husband Pat, of Overton; brother, John Brueggeman of Weinert; two aunts, Erna Brueggemann of Fort Worth and Zella Mae Moeller of Haskell; 5 nephews, Joe, Josh, Pat, and Sean McCrory, Will Brueggeman; 4 great nieces, Rayela McCrory, Madeline McCrory, Keylee Brueggeman, Carver Brueggeman; special friends, Elmer Adams and Mayree Turnbow; numerous cousins; and other friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dora (Moeller) and George Brueggeman; and brother, Melvin Brueggeman.

Memorials may be made in Larry's name to the American Cancer Society, Weinert Cemetery Association, and First Baptist Church, Weinert, TX.
