Lesley "Leon" Jordan

Lesley "Leon" Jordan, 82, of Throckmorton, TX, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Throckmorton.

Leon was born January 15, 1941, at the J Y Ranch in King County, T, to Gladys (Mayberry) and Harley Jordan. He married Barbara Dowd on December 15, 1973, in Seymour, Texas. He enjoyed reading western books, putting puzzles together, and his dogs. He also loved reading his Bible. He had a beautiful relationship with the Lord and loved sharing with others how the Lord always walked with him hand in hand. He adored his grandchildren and was very proud of them. He took great pleasure in taking care of his cattle and chickens in his younger years and some of his favorite times were evening drives in the country with his wife.

He is survived by his son, Jake Jordan and wife Keely of Wolfforth; a daughter, Shonda Wadsworth and husband Zack of Throckmorton; three granddaughters, Jaeda Carroll and husband Dakota of Wollforth, Ava and Mesa Wadsworth of Throckmorton; one grandson, Cole Fontenot and wife Carly of Odessa; three sisters, Linda Kinney, Joyce Haynes, and Jean Bachmann; brother, Terry Jordan; numerous other family members and special friend, Jabe Allen.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Harley Jordan; wife, Barbara Dowd Jordan; sisters, Joann Nolan, Maureen Rodgers, Mary Beth Jordan, Jane Jordan; and brothers, Wade Jordan and Lanston Jordan.
