Lilly Mary Peiser

Lilly Peiser, 96 years young and longtime former resident of Haskell, Texas went to be with her Lord on Sunday evening, August 19, 2012 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Haskell. Burial will be at Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. Visitation is planned for Thursday, August 21, 2012 at the funeral home from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Lilly was born April 21, 1916 to Henry Y. and Henrietta (Schroeder) Druesedow in Williamson County, Texas. Soon after Lilly was born, the family moved to the Mattson community. She married Ernest Peiser on December 21, 1937 in the Mattson Community and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage when he preceded her in death in the year 2000. Lily and Ernest moved to the Irby community after their marriage and they both enjoyed farming together. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, farming, and attending the Trinity Lutheran Church. Lilly was active in the Trinity Lutheran Woman's Group and singing in the choir.

Also preceding her in death are her 3 sisters, Ethel Enloe, Nora Kline, Henrietta Fischer; and 2 brothers, Henry Druesedow and Bobby Druesedow.

Lilly is survived by her two daughters, Sandra McGary and husband Bobby of Abilene, Texas, and Cynthia Hudson and husband Johnny of Pilot Point, Texas; 1 granddaughter, Shari Schaefer of Dallas, Texas; 3 grandsons, Bradley McGary and wife Janna of Abilene, Texas, Heath Hudson and wife Nancy of Pilot Point, Brandon McGary and wife Shannon of Lewisville, Texas; and 9 great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Christy and husband Caleb, Misty, Tyler, Alex Maci, Beau, Cole, Bryce, and Chloe.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Peiser will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Bradley McGary, Heath Hudson, Brandon McGary, Tyler McGary, Beau McGary, Cole Hudson, and Bryce McGary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lilly's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 7630 U.S. Hwy 380 East, Haskell, Texas, or to your preferred charity.
