Linda Neal (Ball) Perry, 84, of Throckmorton, TX, passed away

Sunday, October 23, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, TX with Rev. Marty Light and Pastor Pete Parker will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at Proffitt Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned at 1:00PM, at the First Baptist Church Throckmorton, on October 27,2022, at 211 N Minter Ave. Throckmorton, TX.

Linda was born on June 23, 1938, in Cleburne, TX to Sarah (Little) and Weldon Ball. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton. She graduated from Baylor College and continued her education getting her Teaching Degree from Abilene Christian University. She married Frank Perry on August 7, 1964, in Cleburne. She loved cats and in her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding. Linda had a servant's heart and was always volunteering and helping others. She served on the Depot Library Board. For many years, she taught school in Throckmorton and was later employed by the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed serving in ministry and her last mission trip was to Belize. Her legacy of love and kindness for others has left a lasting impression on her family, friends, and the community of Throckmorton and beyond.

She is survived by her husband Frank Perry of Throckmorton; two brothers, Ed Ball and spouse Linda Kaye of Cleburne, Joe Ball and spouse Charlotte of Granbury; three nephews, Larry Ball and spouse Lynn of Granbury, Michael Ball and spouse Stephanie of Cleburne, Derek Ball of Ft. Worth; niece, Jessica Rhodes and spouse Leighton of Lipan; niece, Jacki Dean; nephew, Don Perry; nephew, Russell B. Perry; niece, Marsha Robbins; niece, Diane Norseworthy and numerous great-nieces and great nephews; and cousin and best friend Susie Kunkel of Throckmorton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Weldon Ball.
