Linda Mahan

Linda Darlene Mahan of Weinert, Texas passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family on December 29, 2023 at the age of 75.

Visitation is planned from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Haskell, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the Weinert FourSquare Church in Weinert, Texas, with Rev. Rick Moeller and Rev. Dan Bullock officiating.

Linda Darlene was born on March 19, 1948 in Norman, Oklahoma to parents Odell Williams and Wanda Lawson. She was the oldest of 5 girls. She grew up in Odessa, Texas where she met the love of her life Leonard Alvin Mahan Jr. whom she married on March 13, 1968 and they enjoyed 55 and half years of marriage before her passing.

She is survived by her husband Leonard; daughter Michelle Annette Schultz of Weinert, Texas; sons Leonard Alvin Mahan III of Weinert, Texas and Donald Eugene Mahan of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Gail Williams and Judy Geissler; 6 grandchildren and their spouses, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Wanda Lawson, and Odell and Orlena Williams; sisters Pam Maples and Vicki Hodges; and great grandson Mitchell Logsdon.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in the name of Linda Mahan to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
