Linda Faye Swearengin - Mccrary

A woman known for her love, wisdom, family, strength and most of all feisty personality has been wrapped up in the arms of Jesus and reunited with all her loved ones.

Linda Faye Swearengin-McCrary, 73 of Knox City, TX departed her earthly body on January 14, 2021. She was born on August 6, 1947, in Knox City, TX to parents James Swearengin and Annie Bell.

Linda Faye was an independent and hardworking woman. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love to her family. She loved her blues music, scratch offs, cooking and her family. Her family was everything to her she would do all she could to make them happy and keep them happy. She was the definition of love and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Annie B. Swearengin; 6 brothers Floyd, James Jr.,Tommy, J.C.,Jessie and Andrew Swearengin. 2 sisters, Dorothy Hill and Melinda Robinson.

She is survived by her 10 children; Danny (Judy) McCrary of Oakland, CA, James McCrary Jr of Abilene, TX, Charles (Greta) McCrary of Wichita Falls, TX, Luke (Jeanette) McCrary of Knox City, TX, Mike (Tasha) McCrary of Abilene, TX, Anthony (Anita) McCrary of Mesquite, TX, Roxie Ann McCrary of Abilene, TX, Beatrice (Richard) Collins of Abilene, TX, Andy McCrary of Odessa, TX and her baby boy, Kevin Dorsey of Knox City, TX. 2 brothers William (Avery) Swearengin and Lueroy (Shirley) Swearengin of Midland, TX and 1 sister Rosie Rigsby of Oakland, CA.

She also leaves to cherish her memories her pride and joys, her 33 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Knox City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Friday, January 22, 2021 at the funeral home, 210 Avenue A., Knox City.
