Lisa Rodriquez

November 7, 1977 — April 30, 2025

Lisa Marie Rodriquez, beloved soulmate, daughter, sister, tia, LeLe, Madrina, niece, cousin and friend passed away on April 30, 2025 at the age of 47.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, May 5, 2025, at the St. George Catholic Church in Haskell, Texas. Father Albert J. Devanesan will be officiating. Burial will follow after the service at the Willow Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A rosary is planned from 7:00 to 8:00pm, Sunday, May 4, 2025, at St. George Catholic Church, Haskell, Texas. She will be deeply missed.

Born on November 7, 1977, in Haskell, TX, Lisa touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her smile, joy for life, helpfulness and love.  She was a lifelong member of St. George Catholic Church.

Lisa found the love of her life, David Lisle, in March of 2007, and together they built a life full of joy and adventure. They shared a love for traveling, feeding cattle, cooking, and spending time surrounded by friends and family. Their bond was built on shared passions, mutual respect, and an unwavering love for each other, and they created countless memories that will continue to be cherished by all who knew them.

She was not only the best daughter and baby sister, but also the heart of the family. She was the spark that lit up every room with her vivacious spirit, and her love showed itself in many forms, whether through her constant support, her infectious laughter, or her selfless ways. They say you save the best for last, and Lisa was, without a doubt, the best. She was the glue that held everyone together, always making sure those around her knew they were loved.

Lisa loved her nieces and nephews deeply and considered herself a second mom to them, always there to help babysit, offer support, and cheer them on in everything they did. She was their biggest fan in all aspects of life, whether it was in the ballfield stands, watching games on ESPN Plus from the garage, or simply being their unwavering "momma bear," ready to take on the world for them.

The life of every party, she loved to sing karaoke, dance, and bring joy to those around her with her ability to make everyone laugh and sharp sense of humor. Whether it was enjoying a game of golf with family and friends or whipping up her famous charro beans and hot sauce (recipes she never shared), Lisa's presence was always warm and full of life. Her family will forever cherish the way she would retire to her bungalow for some peace and quiet, with her closed front door a clear sign that she needed her space.

After dedicating nearly 25 years to The Drug Store, Lisa was eagerly looking forward to her retirement. She took great pride in her work and cherished the relationships she built over the years. She was the first person many people saw when they walked into the Drug Store.  She was fiercely loyal, brilliant in her work, and her energy and attitude were contagious.  She demanded excellence from everybody around her and definitely wasn't afraid to give a little side-eye when things weren't up to her standards.

Though she will be deeply missed, it brings her family peace to know that Lisa is now reunited with her father, Andy, who had been waiting for her in heaven with open arms.  They were cut from the same cloth.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Andy Rodriquez, but is survived by her loving partner, David Lisle; her mother, Frances Rodriquez; and her siblings: Steven Rodriquez and wife Paty of Fort Worth, TX; Teresa Rodriquez of Haskell, TX; Johnny Rodriquez and wife Tatiana of Mansfield, TX; and Cynthia and husband Brian Brzozowski of Mansfield, TX.  Daughters of David Lisle; Tara Lisle, Morgan Neinast and husband Tanner and children Aubri, Willow and Lisle, and Ashley Lisle and children Carter, Kennedy and Jackson. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, Baylee Rodriquez and Jeremy, Dylan Rodriquez, Jackie Rosales and husband Ronie, Priscilla Zamora and husband Humberto,  Alexis Chavez, Haley Chavez and Jordan, Maegan Aguilar and husband David, Dakota Silvas and wife Harley, Gavin Brzozowski, Isabella Brzozowski, Marissa Rodriquez and Carina Rodriquez.  In addition she is survived by 12 great-nieces and nephews; Jeremy, Jace, Olivia, Sophia, Robbie, EJ, Catalina, Karlo, Paisley, Ashanti (Bevs), Grayson, Maddox, Lincoln, and Ruthie.

A devoted and loving family member, Lisa will be remembered for her generosity, her infectious laugh, and the loving spirit she brought into every room. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of the moments they shared with her.
