Lois Jean Richardson Timmons

Lois Jean Richardson Timmons was born on October 2, 1936, in Olney, Texas to Curtis Bruce Richardson and Roberta Louise Woolfolk Richardson. Lois Jean passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at her home with her family by her side. Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Church of Christ in Throckmorton, Texas with Mr. Jason Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow services at the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6:00-7:00PM, Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the funeral home, 107 N Austin, Throckmorton, Texas.

Lois Jean Richardson married McCarson Timmons on August 28, 1954. They were married 59 years. Mac and Lois Jean had three sons, Curtis James Timmons, Russell Chris Timmons, and Louis Stephen Timmons. Along with being a rancher's wife and mother, Lois Jean enjoyed several hobbies: painting, playing bridge, visiting with friends, and traveling. Lois Jean enjoyed painting and had several paintings shown in exhibits. She taught art lessons for several years. Lois Jean was an avid duplicate bridge player for many years. Lois Jean taught CPR in Throckmorton for several years. Lois Jean shared her love of traveling with her three daughters-in-law and her seven granddaughters by taking them to New York City in June 2011. One of her favorite people in the whole world was Elvis.

Lois Jean is survived by her three sons, Curtis and his wife, Debbie; Chris and his wife, Christine; Louis and his wife, Sheila, all of Throckmorton; her grandchildren, Belinda and her husband, Jonathan Lytle; Mandy and her husband, Brian Hodnett; Jamie and her husband, Daniel Cook; Cati Jean Timmons; Taylor and her husband, Kane Isaacks; Brandon Oliver and Abby; Braxton Oliver and his wife, Emily; Conner and her husband, Tyler Hammond; Laston and her husband, Cody Inman; her great-grandchildren; Eli, Luke, Sterling, Natalie, Quinley, Kason, Hank, Creed, Crew, Leia, Lydia, Haven, Ellie, Olivia, Mac, Worth and one due in January 2023; her brother, Bruce Richardson; her nieces, Carrie Richardson and Kayla Sparks, and their families; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lois Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Mac Timmons and her parents Curtis and Roberta Richardson.
