Lola Delores Figueroa

Lola Delores (Lerma) Figueroa, 87, passed away December 24, 2015, at Oaks Nursing Center in Burnet, Texas. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Knox City, Texas with Father John Cerikomalayii officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Knox City Cemetery under Smith Family Funeral Homes. A Rosary is planned for Tuesday evening, December 29, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Knox City located at 210 Ave.

Lola was born October 12, 1928, to Julian Lerma and Maria Lerma in West, Texas. She lived in Knox City most of her life and was a member of the Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Lola loved all church activities, enjoyed sewing, dancing with her husband and she was excellent cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian Lerma and Maria Lerma; husband, Lupe Figueroa, Sr.; son, Steve Figueroa; nine brothers and sisters.

Lola is survived by her daughter, Nora Sosa and husband Joe of Burnet, Texas; son, Lupe Figueroa of Spicewood, Texas; two grandsons, Joe Daniel Sosa of Burnet, Texas and Tony Sosa of Round Rock, Texas; granddaughter, Christina Figueroa and husband Dimitar of Austin, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Marcus Sosa and Marissa Sosa both from Marble Falls, Texas; sister, Fina Molina of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Lupe Lerma of Haskell, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In Lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association
